A concrete pod that maximises space
At just 4m², this mini garden office and gym in Walthamstow shows how much a small footprint can hold. It needed no planning application, and its green roof softens the view from the house and helps it sit in the garden.
Grey cement-board panels give it a solid, concrete look outside. Inside, deep blue walls make a bold, focused room for work, with space for an exercise bike too. Considered lighting and bespoke storage use every centimetre, and a light cork floor keeps it warm underfoot.
The team listened to my vision and offered their own feedback and suggestions. It really felt like a collaboration.
