The project
Pitched roof, vibrant and creative
This garden studio in Haringey was designed for an artist who also works from home. Its 3.5m pitched roof gives the room real height, and large skylights fill the room with even daylight.
Exposed birch joists line the ceiling, and bold colours on the plywood and cement-board walls keep the space lively. A dotted rubber floor is hard-wearing, and bespoke furniture keeps materials within reach. Outside, charred larch cladding keeps it quiet among the plants.
