A light-filled office tucked into greenery

Set on ground-screw foundations and kept to 2.5m high, this 14m² garden office in Hackney needed no planning application. It sits among lush planting, and two glazed doors frame the garden and fill the room with light.

Charred oak cladding wraps the outside and hides the door to a storage room, so the facade stays clean. Inside, pine plywood panelling, a dark cork floor and a bespoke LED-lit shelf make it warm and well organised.
