This L-shaped garden studio in Peckham does a lot without filling the garden. One wing holds the storage and a shower room with WC, which leaves the main room open for working, relaxing and watching TV. The shape also takes up less of the lawn than one large box.

Two skylights and a wide sliding door bring in daylight from above and from the garden. Inside, radiata pine panelling, a dark cork floor and bespoke furniture with sofa storage and a peg wall make it feel like a room in the house. Outside, it's clad in charred larch.
